GeoComply is looking for a Product Owner (Technical) for its new PinPoint indoor geolocation product. PinPoint is the leading indoor geolocation solution for the US gaming market. It is installed within properties across states DC, Iowa, Rhode Island, Illinois, Montana, Mississippi and expanding internationally later this year. We are looking for a Product Owner (Technical) to help turn ideas into top-notch features for our customers.

The role will work closely between (software & hardware) engineering teams as well as product and business teams to develop and execute the product vision. As a Product Owner (Technical) at GeoComply, you are someone who takes ownership of your projects, has a sound technical background and communicates well with various stakeholders to execute your plans. You are someone with a history of positively motivating your team to continuously output results. Candidates with past experience in software engineering working closely with non-technical stakeholders would succeed in this role.

Our technical stack is:

• Web: PHP, Laravel, Node.JS, HTML/CSS, MySQL, MongoDB
• Firmware/Client: Python, C++, Bash, Mender
• Hardware: Custom PCB carrier boards, Raspberry Pi, BT/BLE, UWB

In this role, you will:

• Work with product, business and development leadership to understand key problems our customers face.
• Take high level ideas and turn them into detailed, well thought out features.
• Design your own solutions to given problems, taking operational requirements into consideration.
• Fully understand the life cycle of our product development to be able to manage development projects and roadmaps.
• Understand business needs (functional requirements) and translate them into technical requirements.
• Communicate technical ideas to a variety of audiences including non-technical stakeholders.
• Build and maintain relationships with key people in the organization.
• Understand the company's vision, goals and strategy. Actively contribute to the achievement of the goals and execution of the company’s strategy.

You are a great fit if you have:

• 3 or more years of experience in similar roles such as Product Owner, Product Manager, Technical Product Manager, Engineering Manager, Project Manager, etc.
• High level knowledge of core technologies we use, such as Bluetooth, BLE, UWB, GPS.
• Strong understanding of systems design, how components work together at production scales.
• Good understanding of Agile scrum practices, and using tools like Atlassian Jira to keep teams organized.
• A true team player with great communication and interpersonal skills.
• Results-oriented with ability to consistently meet deadlines.
• Good proficiency in professional written and spoken English.
• Ability to work with distributed teams and occasional international travel.
