We are seeking motivated NodeJS Engineers (at Senior/ Lead/ Principal levels) who are passionate, results-focused to take accountability for the design and delivery of Microservices that will be used by banking front-end applications. You will be part of our delivery team and will be responsible for providing technical leadership throughout all phases of the software delivery life cycle as we initiate a transformation of NAB technology.

YOUR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES 

1. Collaborate with other NAB's technology leaders towards improving and fulfilling the NAB technical direction;
2. Evangelize and promote JavaScript - Node.js best practices;
3. Be passionate about JavaScript - Node.js, stay relevant and understand how to implement advancement for existing or new systems;
4. Design, develop, review, implement, and manage application code and services for the production and pre-release environments in Node.js;
5. Design, develop, review, implement, and manage continuous integration, build management and deployment scripts, systems, and any code as required;
6. Participate in Agile software development, prototyping, and code review with international development teams to build scalable microservices-based products;
7. Understand the requirements of the customer or business and utilize this knowledge to develop applications that are consistent with this;
8. Work with delivery teams to achieve success through development using CI/CD and DevOps practices, processes and tooling;
9. Provide robust coding practices and solid unit and component test coverage, and code debugging.

Must have:

1. Senior (4-6 years), Lead and Principal (7+ years) experience working in Software Development:
   - Solid experience in JavaScript ES6 (import/export of Modules, promise, async wait, callbacks) and TypeScript working with Node.js;
   - Solid experience in using Jest Node.js unit testing or similar frameworks
   - Experience working on microservices-based projects
2. Solid experience in designing & developing RESTful APIs and microservices-based systems;
3. Solid DevOps and Continuous Delivery skillset: Experience in using Jenkins CI/CD pipelines and tools.
4. Solid experience in Agile development environments;
5. Well-versed in writing structured, well-documented, maintainable, and clean code;
6. Excellent in problem-solving and analytical skills;
7. Strong understanding of standard Software Engineering processes, Testing, and Agile methodology;
8. Strong English communication skills (both verbal & written), especially in the global software development environment;
9. Experience in leading and coaching at least one software engineering team on various projects (Lead level).

Nice to have:

1. Experience in AWS and Containers (ECS, Kubernetes, Docker);
2. Experience in the Banking or Financial Services industry;
3. Experience in scripting (Bash, Python, Groovy, PowerShell, AWS CLI);
4. Wide-ranging knowledge of various technologies (programming languages, frameworks, software architectures,..);
5. Experience with developing microservices Java and SpringBoot;
6. Experience in Front-End frameworks, specifically React.js;
7. Any additional certification or training in IT, Business, Computer Science, or related area.
